I used to wake up every morning,
force a smile on my face
telling myself that nothing would bring me down.
That nobody could bring me down.
Nothing had been going my way.
I had to decide right there right then
that my outlook would change.
Said goodbye to all the tears I would have cried,
& all the times somebody heart my pride.
I believe she can take everything from me but she can't succeed in taking my inner peace.
I'm gonna carry on,
I'm gonna keep on!
I never want to dwell on the pain,
no use reliving it.
Running out of breath & emotions.
Every step getting me further away.
All the times I felt I couldn't go on alone.
You can take EVERYTHING from me but you CAN'T take
my PRIDE
my PASSION
my PEACE
break my legs but not my spirit
because dancing is like dreaming with your legs.....

One day....
Stripped of all makeup
no need for fancy clothes
No cover-ups
No push-ups
with him I don't have to put on a show
He loves every freckle
every inch of my skin
fulfilling me entirely
taking all of me in
he's real
he's honesty
he's loving me for me!
